Accident Investigations

Course duration: one day.

Venue: The course can be delivered at the customer’s venue subject to the availability of a suitable area.

Requalification requirements: It is recommended that training is refreshed every 3 years.

Aim of Qualification

The aim of the qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with the use of an Automated External Defibrillation (AED).

This training course is designed for those who have a duty of care to employees and others and are involved in carrying out accident investigations. The topics covered on this course can be applied to any sector.e who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation.

Course Outcomes

We will identify the possible root causes of accidents and make quality recommendations in order to prevent recurrences. Learners will be able to use a range of interviewing techniques and learn to draft a report based on their findings.

Assessment Criteria

  • Practical assessment: - this is observed by the Trainer throughout the course.
  • Formative assessments: a range of informal assessment procedures employed by the Trainer/Assessor during the learning process to measure each Learner’s knowledge, skills and understanding related to the assessment criteria.
